End of Season 2 Round Up by Captain Kenneth 01052000

As usual, before the start of the next season, someone has to write something to build up excitement, set the fans' hungry for the grand season coming up, wake up some players etc etc...Actually this round up is long overdue. Should have been done at the end of our season months ago. Hee hee...

Okay while some of you are busy having or studying for your exams calculating all the simple forces and formulas and equations, I am having the most difficult task of compiling those dumb statistics to satisfy the hunger of our die hard fans (e.g. Our fan club president Zhang Han who is mad with basketball stats in his collection of basketball cards.)

Even though this season is shorter than the last, the stats are getting kind of more impressive. Hey guys! We need to play more matches to gain some credibility here! Can you imagine some people looking at our pages and laughing at the number of matches we played!!! Okay here goes:

First of all, a summary of our matches:

Match Number

Our final league table will look like this. Wow...compare the season 2 stats with season 1!!! Look at the defence! Hugh reduction from typical whipping boys to sturdy hunks:

Useful stats to take note:

All six goals scored by our strikers were from Cheng Cai who scored an impressive record 5 goals in a single match. Mingheng scored 2 (when we pushed him up to partner Cheng Cai in Ding's absence). Our midfielders continue the strong tradition of scoring vital goals from their position. For once the defence didn't let in any stupid own goal.

Now our match attendance table:

Some players could do better by coming for more matches. As you can see, Dasch is a poor club and can't afford more players. Coupled with our stringent rules for accepting players, we only have a bunch of limited resources.

Next table, the scorers' chart:

The goals were well distributed throughout the positions with the forwards (1 single guy) doing his job perfectly well. Cheng Cai's red glaring boots scored 5 single goals in a match. Surprise omission this season from the scorer's list: Daniel Ding. Haha..

If i can come up with a number of miss by a single player, the award should belong to Ming Heng. He single-handedly hit the bar, cross bar, the goalkeeper countless of times. What a waste after those mesmerizing runs...

This ends the glorious summary of short season 2 for Dasch Rovers. Let's hope we continue on this fine improvement in season 3. Hmm...now perhaps i will start working on a Dasch Trading cards..
