.. and December
too. Welcome back to the exciting new football season after the
tedium and depression of the stupid exam season. (I know some
of our straight As guys actually love school work.. but I am not
in the mood to hear about such abnormal behaviour ok..) So what
can we look forward to in the following months (besides chasing
skirts)?
Bright things
are in store for Dasch Rovers this new season, as we seek to extend
our incredible 3-match unbeaten streak, terrorise
other teams, dominate the local scene and establish a reputation
for ourselves... regarded with respect and held in awe... something
like the local version of Man United, but much more likeable and
cuddlier lah. The dark clouds are, of course, the ones hanging
in the sky... Nov-Dec are traditionally the coldest, wettest part
of the year (though Nov so far has been unusually hot and humid).
That means we will probably have to play most of our matches in
the rain and worse, in the mud. Not the best of conditions in
which to play soccer, considering the lousy pitches we have. Of
course, certain mud-loving morons like our captain are probably
overjoyed that they can splash around in the brown stuff and end
the game looking heroic.. mud-, grass-, sweat- and rain-soaked...
like they're leading actors in some action movie. All we need
to complete the picture is some blood.
Quite a number
of teams have lined up to play us (six at last count)... which
is a good sign that finally, people are taking notice of Dasch.
All these is due to our reputation as a side which loses easily
and as the prefect training session opponents in preparation for
the real thing... that's why other teams are eager to have a game
with us whipping boys. For the coming matches, the tactics, first
XI, formation etc etc I think we will make up as we go along..
as usual. Nobody ever listens to sensible advice anyway.. "HAHAHA..
play the co-ed as center forward?? What crazy stupid idea!! HAHAHAH"
See what I mean?
A brief note
on our self-proclaimed one and only female fan, CEO and manager..
whatever happened to Goddess Isadora? Before the exams, she was
hanging around in the Forum... flirting, trading personal info,
jokes and insults with us. After the exams, she went MIA. I think
most likely she found a new flame huh? Her last message (I think)
was to say she's not sure whether she will go to watch us play.
In other words, she will not go to watch us play. Sigh... what
a tragic love story between us and her... how sad.. over even
before it started.
Here ends
the stupid editorial for Nov. Let us hope for some fine weather
ahead.. preferably on matchdays. And some fine results as well.
Co-editor,
DaschWeb
