Cynic's Comments (Part I & II) analysis by Chekkeng 130999

I love to give comments so I hope u guys will take a few moments to read. If not, your loss, so here….

Part I

Let's start with some comments about players.

RuiBin --what can I say, such a uncovered talent as a goalkeeper--not striker/winger/midfielder so please stay there and stop giving Daniel chances to accuse u of snatching his chances. (more on Daniel later)

Eng Kiat --the sweeper who loves to dribble---techniqueless push and chase and often kanna outrun by opponents. Though definitely without him, we are like a rudderless ship or should I say raft? I would hope to see him more forceful as manager, giving more detailed tactics/instructions/formations etc. I miss the Eng Kiat of last time who would give instructions when playing as sweeper. He seems to have lost the fire and enthusiasm that was so ….DASCH?

Lester --defender who appears in the corner flags at the most improbable moment---and it's the opponents corner flag--not ours. But he has certainly shown us what he is capable of, showing off turns and hard tackles. Definitely one of the fittest in the team.

Tianrui --still a tackling nutcase after all these years. And still taking out the ball if not the player (more usually the player)

Kenneth --temperamental captain. Would love to see him LEAD, OVERCOME and EXCEL more in the match and stop picking up squabbles with his own team members. We are your friends, not your recruits for the last time. Ever still so consistent. What would man u do without roy keane?-----answer--beat liverpool hahahahahahah What would dasch do without kenneth?-----answer--beat SAFFC????

Desmond --enuff said

Raymond --fitness finally picking up and showing some nice touches. Anyone noticed that his scoring spree started after his new blue Diadora boots??? Anyone smell a sponsorhip coming???

Minheng --is he trying to follow david beckham or what??--I mean the hairstyle and color, not his footballing skills. Heheheh just joking. Easily the most talented player in the team. Mesmerizes defences but seems to be lacking the final touch recently. Eg. dribbles past 9 players and lose ball to the last player.

Cheng Cai --showed us that he wasn't just a BIG MAN. Has improved tremendously since sec school days when he was trying to impress with cheap flicks and stunts (though such stunts and flicks and backpasses going nowhere still rear their ugly heads occassionally.) dependable to score headers and long range shots. Good holder of ball. Only weakness---lazy, refuses to pressure for ball at times.

Daniel "anti goal" Ding --need I say more?

But I want to…. Misses when it is easier to score. Never have enough of his bullshit. Thoroughly enjoyable playing with him, not against him. Has toned down since his transfer into the club when he would spew discouraging comments. However, manages to poach important goals when he is on form---which is almost never.

Last but not least---

ALVAN --Kenneth should give him a GPS. So he can find his way around the field. Seems lost when he is in an area bigger than the penalty box. (that explains why he did so well in the penalty box in our 3-1 win against Marist Utd, clearing two chances, though I wonder whether he could really back flick the header out of goal.--I'm a cynic okay) Tells him to move up and he gives u the blank look, I tell u if only he communicates as well as he writes insults, we would have a kieron dyer. I remember the other match we sub him with Jiamin he actually went over to the opposite flank and started playing before he was ushered out. I miss the days when Alvan was one of our most skillful players around. Too much sissying around in NUS Arts? Maybe Alvan will provide the answer in the next editorial…

Okay, I decided that it wasn't fair to miss out some players so here are the rest

Part II

Liu "david copperfield" Jiamin --not for his magic on the field but rather as the vice captain who does the disappearing acts ever so often----by not turning up for matches. Though losing out in physique nowadays, still fit and skillful. Should make full use of him.

Yip "irwin sanchez" Yiying ----hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahah hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Who can forget his david beckham goal at presby??? Shines when daniel is not around. Tormented by his own teammates whether daniel is around or not. I believe he is one of the most underrated player in dasch. Let's welcome him back into the team with open arms, big/medium/small/teddy/angry bear (not forgettting horny bear)

Sui Jin --we need him back! Surprisingly enough, I cannot think of anything bad to say. Anyone got suggestions?

Bryan ---5 minutes wonder. Lasted 5 minutes literally in the whole season. Maybe with roy keane back next season, we will win the treble? Must admit he's the most versatile and used to be one of the most skillful players in the team.

Stanley --"I love to dive, I love to slide, I love to kill people with my scissors leg" defender who never says die, thus gambling with his life for every ball. As I quote Daniel "he everytime open leg big big to duo ming jian dao jiao (kill people scissor leg) cos he open big big nothing inside. Hahahahah

Cheky ---displaced goalkeeper. Now trying to make a living as a defender/midfielder/striker. Highly inconsistent (usually performs badly) low on fitness and loves to pick on others (like Yiying) anyone realise that he plays better when Yiying is around cos there is someone to pick on. Epitomizes the dasch spirit by going for every ball----and winning none. Hahahahahahah only redeeming fact(?)---has played in every single position for dasch…..er oh yah as a goalkeeper, "makes great saves one moment and lets in sissy goals the next"

Alvan september 1998... why isn't he on the transfer list?????????
